MIKE CALVINO

Mike Calvino is a highly experienced director, cinematographer, and editor with over 25 years of expertise in video production. Starting his career as a camera operator and editor on documentaries in the vibrant city of Sydney during the mid-90s, Mike quickly developed a passion for compelling storytelling through the lens.

In the 2000’s he moved north and completed a Bachelor of Screen Production (BFTPr) at the Queensland College of Art and then went on to manage Billabong's global video production department, overseeing the end-to-end process of content creation for worldwide distribution across various platforms.

Throughout his career, Mike has worked with top-tier clients including Google, Red Bull, Canon, Woolworths, McDonald’s, Oakley, and Panasonic to name a few and has collaborated with prestigious partners such as Sony Pictures, MTV, and Stan, while also directing award-winning short films and advertising campaigns.

Mike currently lives on the Gold Coast with his wife and two kids and operates as a freelance videographer represented by the Sydney based agency Louis & Co.
